In early November Paul Faulkner was announced as the 'Brummie of the Year' at the annual 'Birmingham Awards'. In the online post below, Paul commented on receiving the prestigious award.
Last night at the ‘Birmingham Awards’ I was announced as the male ‘Brummie of the Year’ in recognition of my contribution to the city over the years.

It’s certainly very nice and humbling to receive such recognition, although it goes without saying that isn’t why I do all that I do and there are many more people out there who are equally deserving.
Congratulations to Ifraz Ahmed & Anita Chumber for putting on a brilliant event last night full of heart and soul and all the stuff that makes Birmingham such a fabulous place to live and work. Well done PJ Ellis on an awesome hosting job (you’re getting good at this!) and LoveBrum who were the charity partner and continue to make an impact helping others across the city.
Thank you to all the wonderful people I’ve worked and collaborated with over the years at various organisations and on different projects - you know who you are and I love you all! Lots more still to be done of course…

Finally, thanks to my partner at Element45, Mark Taylor. When we set up the business we said that we wanted to have fun & make a positive difference alongside all the hard work, and it definitely feels as though we have started as we mean to go on. 🙏
